When we were blessed with the opportunity to custom build our next home, we were so excited to take the many ideas that had been dancing around in our heads for many years, garnered from places we had traveled and stayed, and parlay those visions into our new forever home. I was introduced to Kara by a mutual friend and thought I’d lean on her for some guidance on how to professionally execute those ideas into reality. We thought we knew exactly what we wanted…. We moved in at the beginning of May and almost two months later, I still wake up in awe and amazement at the place that we get to call home. Kara and her team, through careful coordination with our general contractor, created an oasis. Each and every room speaks to all those visions of what we wanted in a dream house, and beyond. Each room has a stated elegance, while not feeling stuffy. Each room provides peace and comfort through the carefully appointed pieces, textures and color selections. Some rooms are fun and whimsical, while others have an ethereal vibe, and sprinkled in here and there, are areas that feel like jewel boxes. It is truly magical and everyone who has come to visit describes it as such.

Kara is also such a delight to work with, as is her staff. Not only did I build my dream home, I made good friends along the way which is not something I take lightly. Kara took the time to truly know my heart and has made my dreams a reality. I feel like we found the best designer in the entire world to work with and anyone who is lucky enough to get that opportunity will feel the same. There was not a single moment in this process where we ever felt stressed about timing or that something could be overlooked. She and her team were so far ahead of the overall build schedule, by meeting with us to make selections early on in the process and placing orders to avoid delays caused by long lead times. Having a project management past myself, I was extremely impressed by their attention to detail, efficiency and execution of the overall process. In fact I loved working with her team so much, when the project came to an end, I’ve joked that I would just volunteer my time so I could continue working with them.
